Overview

From an idea to an implementable prototype

MEDATHON is designed to empower youth to shape the future of healthcare. The program bridges healthcare, technology, and youth innovation, challenging participants to transform ideas into practical prototypes across areas such as digital health, AI, medical devices, and MedTech.

Beyond the initial qualification phase, selected teams take part in on-ground collaborative teamwork throughout the days of the forum, where they develop and refine their solutions, engage with mentors, and work toward presenting an implementable prototype on the final judging day.

Four tracks. Choose one.

Each team selects one track during registration and submits its project under that track.

Timeline

Two filters, one final

Every team starts at registration. Each stage opens only to teams that passed the one before it — your dashboard shows where your team stands at every step.

Filter 1: Screening

Submit the completed project template. Qualified teams see Filter 2 on their dashboard, locked until it opens.

Filter 2: Prototype

A remote development sprint with workshops, then prototype-based selection for the finals.

On-ground teamwork and judging as part of the Exhibition at SYHF 2026 in Jeddah.

Three places, announced on stage

Finalists present their developed solutions and prototypes to the judging panel. Winners are announced and recognised during the Closing Ceremony on Sunday 29 November 2026.

Who can take part

MEDATHON is for ambitious youth passionate about healthcare innovation, technology, problem-solving, and entrepreneurship, with the drive to collaborate and create solutions with meaningful real-world impact.

Rules

Details cannot be changed after registration.

Check every name, email and major before you submit. Only the team leader can request a member change, from the dashboard, until Filter 1 closes.
