One of three tracks
The research track puts student and early-career work in front of practising surgeons and specialists — not to be graded, but to be questioned, argued with and taken seriously.

Oral presentation
A timed talk to a seated audience, followed by questions from a panel of specialists in your area. Best suited to completed work with a result you can defend.
Poster session
Your work on display through a dedicated session, with reviewers and delegates coming to you. Better for work in progress, or a finding that rewards a closer look than a talk allows.
Either way
State your preference in the form. The Scientific Committee decides the final format, and abstracts scoring below the oral threshold are placed into poster sessions instead — so a poster slot is never a rejection.
Title, study design, background & aim, methods, results and conclusion — each with its own short word limit — plus your full author list. You do not need a finished paper, but you do need real data.
Two evaluators score every abstract independently against a published rubric, without seeing author names or institutions. A score of 70/100 or higher qualifies for an oral slot; everything else moves to poster.
Deliver your session in Jeddah, and take questions from the panel and the room.
Research awards are presented across three tiers.
Submission takes a few minutes, and your progress is saved if you need to come back.
