Terms
Terms and conditions
These terms apply when you use this website and when you register for, apply to or compete at SYHF 2026. By registering you agree to them.
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This page is a draft and is being reviewed before launch.
Eligibility and accurate information
You must meet the requirements published for the registration type you choose. The information you give must be true, current and complete. We may ask for supporting documents, such as a student ID or identity document.
Your registration is personal
Your registration and pass are for you only and cannot be transferred to anyone else.
Some registration types depend on capacity, selection or approval. Submitting an application does not guarantee a place.
Refusing or cancelling a registration
The organisers may refuse or revoke a registration that is incomplete, inaccurate, duplicated or made in breach of these terms.
Competitions and MEDATHON
- MEDATHON teams have between 3 and 5 members.
- Team details cannot be changed after registration.
- The conference may change the terms, prizes and dates at any time without prior notice.
- Registering means you agree to the hackathon’s terms and the conference’s terms.
- Decisions of the hackathon administration are final.
Other competitions follow the rules published on their own pages.
Original work
Everything you submit, including research abstracts and competition work, must be your own or your team’s original work. Plagiarism, or using others’ work without credit, may lead to disqualification.
Who owns submitted work
Draft point, under review: the work you or your team submit remains yours. By submitting it, you allow SYHF to display it, with credit, for the purposes of the event, such as judging, presenting it at the forum and sharing results.
Photography and filming
The event will be photographed and filmed. By attending, you understand that you may appear in photos or videos that SYHF uses to report on and promote the event.
Limits of our responsibility
We work to keep the website and the event running as described, but we cannot guarantee that everything will always be available or unchanged. To the extent the law allows, the organisers are not responsible for indirect losses, or for loss of or damage to personal belongings.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. The terms shown when you registered also apply, including those in the registration form.
